Sticks and Stones - 1/1 - All Ages - Lavender/Luna
Title: Sticks and Stones (1/1)
Author: [info]silvernatasha
Rating: All Ages
Disclaimer: This story is based on characters and situations created and owned by JK Rowling, various publishers including but not limited to Bloomsbury Books, Scholastic Books and Raincoast Books, and Warner Bros., Inc. No money is being made and no copyright or trademark infringement is intended.
Summary: The insults always hurt.
Word Count: 100.
A/N: For [info]heather11483, who requested Lavender/Luna, thick skin.

She doesn’t want to talk about it. She’s better than this. Sticks and stones and… It shouldn’t hurt this much. They’re just words, but every time she feels like her skin is tougher it just sloughs off a layer.

Insults were apparently a good exfoliator.

Luna doesn’t push. She just waits. Finally, it’s how she tips her head to the side that breaks Lavender. She sobs into Luna’s whispy blonde hair as she’s held.

Still, Luna doesn’t press for the story. Instead, she tells her that maybe they should have a cheese party - what does she think of Wensleydale?
